Our approach

Good teaching doesn't start at GCSE. We work with students from the beginning of secondary school right through to A-Level, and we match every child with a tutor who understands the subject and the way that particular student thinks. Whether your child is finding their feet in Year 9 or sitting their final A-Level papers, the same tutor stays with them throughout.

English Literature
Prose, poetry and drama. We teach students to read closely and write essays with a clear line of argument, rather than circling the obvious points everyone makes.
English Language
Reading, writing and analysis. Students learn to write clearly and to handle the comprehension and creative tasks that come up in the paper.
History
Source analysis, essay structure and the habit of weighing evidence properly, which is where most marks are won and lost.
Mathematics
From number basics up to higher tier. We turn the abstract parts into something a student can actually picture and answer questions on.
Combined Science
Biology, Chemistry and Physics across the double award. We keep the explanations clear and work through enough past questions that the mark scheme stops feeling like a mystery.
Geography
Physical and human geography. We help students lock down their case studies and give the longer answers the structure they need.
Religious Studies
Philosophy, ethics and world religions. Students learn to argue both sides of a question and back each point with evidence, which is what the longer answers are really testing.
